On a gorgeous day in Plymouth, MA at one of my favorite courses Pinehills Golf Club, I made my first hole in one. We pulled up to the 8th hole on the Jones Course, lasered the distance and began our attack. I went last in the group, and it's not a green I usually hit. From previous experience I decided to club up to a 9 iron and take some off of this 140 yard shot playing 137. I had been pretty dialed in with my irons and wedges and this shot was no different. Shot was away and it was right on target, distance was perfect. As the hole was on a slight downslope in the center of the green I landed the ball about 6 feet from the pin and we immediately thought that ball had a chance. Who thinks it ever goes in though? Due to the downhill pin, we couldn't see the ball disappear. We drove up to the green and couldn't see a ball anywhere. Typically on a shot that good you see it roll past the hole and think about how close it was to going in. Except this time I walked over and the ball was in the cup! I even brought my putter just in case! One of the best moments of my life and something I thought I'd never achieve. Carded my second lowest score ever and new low for that course that I worked at for 6 years in my 20s. Amazing day!
