8/4/21 I was invited to play Kiawah Island Club’s The River Course by my best friend, Brad who is a long time caddy at the club. I worked there in highschool and it had been almost 20 years since I had last seen the course. As we approached hole #3, a 189 yard par 3 from the blue is said to Brad, “oh I remember , I like this hole!” I jumped out of the cart shot 178 to the stick and tee’d up my #4 ProV1 left dash and gave it a rip. My AP1 game improving 5iron caught the ball ever so square off the inside of the heal, started at the left hand side of the green and cut back in the air seemingly in slow motion. Just before landing on the green like a butterfly with swollen feet and one hoping into the cup! Excitement ensued, I tackled Brad. Then we weren’t sure it actually happened, we drove up in the cart and saw a pitch mark but no ball. That has to be the best feeling in golf “there’s no ball!” The after peering into the bottom of the cup and seeing my Titleist ball in the bottom I let out a sigh of relief and told Brad I was then 3 up through 3! After gathering my thoughts and a few celebratory drinks I managed a 78 one of my better scores this summer. I owe it all to Titleist for making the best golf equipment and Brad my caddy for life.
