I have played golf for nearly 50 years and although I have had a number of short putts (12 inches) for birdies on par 3s yesterday I made my first hole-in-one on a 114 yard par 3. The best was that my three playing partners and I saw it hit, roll toward the hole and disappear into the cup. In addition, to being my first ever, it was the first hole-in-one my playing partners had ever witnessed.
