I was playing in my Men’s Club “President’s Cup” Tournament when I came to the 9th Hole; a Par 3, 175 yards with a center pin position. I chose my Titleist TS3 5-wood (18 degree), stepped onto the tee, and hit one of the most straight and well struck 5-wood shots I ever hit. My Titleist AVX ball landed 6 feet onto the green and tracked straight toward the pin, hitting the pin and dropping into the cup. I was able to see it all the way. My playing partners saw and called the hole-in-one all the way into the cup. It was so exciting! I still couldn’t believe it until I drove up the green and the starter for the 1st hole, who saw it, yelled down that it was in the cup. I was obviously ecstatic but wanted to keep my emotions in check as I had 9 more holes to play. The day turned out to be my best day on a golf course as I not only had a hole-in-one but it helped me win the President’s Cup. What a great double memory highlight during a single round for this avid senior golfer. This hole-in-one was my third!
