Second day of a 2 day member guest. Large field (120 player, 10 flights). Pin placement on day 2 seemed excellent for where I landed my shot the previous day. All I needed to do to have a good shot I felt was to hit an identical shot to day one. I hit a really good 8 iron (for me) into a down hill 165 hole, it landed and went out of sight to me into a back pin into haze and sun. Out of my view, I was convinced it rolled off back like so many I have seen before but the twosome we were competing against were 100 percent sure it went in. As we drove up to the green I still wasn’t convinced. We walked up and only until I finally saw it at the bottom of the cup i would accept it. There it was! Absolute thrill of a lifetime. First hole, first swing of a two day tournament !
