This was only my second round of the summer. I hadn't played much in the last year and a half. Covid, of course, but the birth of my son in June of 2020 also put time for golf much lower on the priority list. My dad has been a member at the course since it opened as he was working not too far from there. We would make the 45 minute drive regularly as I was growing up and I was always happy to join him on Saturdays if one of his regular foursome couldn't make it. The 8th hole at Stonehenge is a pretty long par 3 with a large green protected by two bunkers. Players from #7 usually have to be careful as they come up the fairway for errant tee shots. On this day, I hit the tee shot and someone from the group on #7 rolled up in their cart as we were approaching the green. They asked, "who had the ace?". I couldn't believe it. I never thought it would happen to me and definitely not after having only played a few rounds in the last two years. I'm most thankful I got to share it with my dad since he is the one that got me started with the game.
