I was playing a little 9 hole course in Lake Forest, California. The place is decent, but it's cheap enough where a lot of times people don't fix their divots on the greens. It's a great place to dial in your wedges. Anyway, my pals and I were talking and someone hit a ball close enough for a tap in birdie. Walking to the next hole we discussed how close it was to an Ace and I proceeded to say, "I hope I don't hit an Ace at a course like this. I'd rather hit one at a legitimate full 18 hole course like Costa Mesa Country Club." So we get to the next tee box, 88 yards to a center located cup. I pull out my swoosh approach wedge, hit a high lofted shot which landed about 6 inches from the cup and bounced right in even with the padding in the hole from the covid rules. Needless to say I was getting an earful from my pals as I was buying drinks for the Ace.
