  1. Saturday, August 28th, 2021, hot and sunny day with a 3:20 tee time for two. As we approached hole 4 at Ross Bridge (RTJ) in Birmingham, AL, I saw the first par 3 of the course.. It was over water with a very wide green and pretty level from the tee box. I stepped down to the tee box with the range finder and told Cameron Dowling " we got 162 to the pin but there is a good bit of wind up there". As I went back to the cart I told Cameron "Im going to go with the 7 iron... better long than short". I teed up my Titleist ProV1 #4 and aimed a little left of the pin hoping to hit my butter fade. I gathered my thoughts and took the swing..... It felt pure.... It was right on my intended line and was tracking towards the pin... as it fell towards the green it landed a couple feet left of the pin, but pin high... One small bounce and then it zipped back directly at the pin like it was on a string... We were both standing frozen as we heard the sound of the pin and the ball disappear into the cup. Neither one of us had witnessed a hole-in-one nor had we ever made one. We both jumped up in down as we couldn't believe what just happened. I proceeded to toss my visor and club up in the air out of excitement and then we proceeded to celebrate like two wild animals.... If there is a better feeling out there than making a hole-in-one, I want to know, because don't think it exists.

    Ralls Pennington - Ross Bridge RTJ #4, 162 yards, 7 iron, ProV1#4
