I was playing Day 2 - 2 man Best Ball in my first Wabeek Cup. It’s gathering the tips players at the club and playing each other in a 3 day event. It’s been going on for 8 years but it was my first time entering the event as I replaced someone who didn’t show up one time. That being said, I was going vs my brother(shawn)and cousin (Terence)who I play with all the time(a competitive rivalry if you will) and partnered up with my long time friend(victor). Moreover, I knew it was going to be a special day because I was +1 thru 7 and missed several birdie putts to start. My game was on point if I must say so. On hole 4 my practice swing w my driver created a spark or flash of fire if you will that my partner and I noticed and honestly after that I knew something was going on that day.

Anyway, I was last to hit on hole 8 a 163 yard downhill par 3 playing probably 5 yards less(158) hitting with my 8 iron. So on the tee box after everyone shot , I lined up and hit my ball clean as I had been doing all day. I didn’t really pay attention to where it landed bc it felt good and looked close enough to pin with ball flight, so just carried on to the cart. That being said no one else could see what happened or said anything on the tee box, so I figured nothing happened and we all proceeded to to Green #8. After pulling up to the green, I noted my AVX ballmark was about 4-5 ft in front of the pin but I could not see my ball . Thinking “ come on did this actually happen now” in disbelief. At that point I told my buddies pull out the cameras we might have something here. As I proceeded to look in the cup , there it was , my Titleist AVX ball. It was a rare feeling you get, my first hole in one! I also proceeded to shoot my best round ever in a matchplay event. Great Day I tell you!
