I made my first hole-in-one from an elevated tee box on the 16th hole at a Knollwood Country Club. I knew I hit a good shot, but nobody in my foursome saw the ball once the ball hit the green. All of the sudden, a twosome who were teeing off on the 17th hole (the 17th tee box is about 30 yards from the 16th green and facing the 16th tee box) start yelling. We assumed they were yelling “Fore” so we all ducked. About thirty seconds later we realized they were yelling “it went in!”. We proceeded to celebrate and sure enough the ball was in the hole once we got to the green. I used an 8-iron from 172 yards with a Titleist Pro V1x. Great day!
