My boss told me that I could telework on Friday because things had been a little slow in the office. I took that to mean that I should take a little screw off time so I did. I called my buddy Geno from church and as a retired guy with nothing but time on his hands he was happy to join me.
We got to the 13th hole and shot the pin with the range finder…141 yards. I pulled my PXG pitching wedge and teed up my Titleist AVX. I took a couple of practice swings and told Geno that I felt pretty comfortable.
I took my swing and the ball jumped…I looked up and was promptly blinded by the sun. Geno…who has terrible vision…says, “ It looked pretty good when it left.” We didn’t see anything on the green so I assumed it was short or left of the green. As we walked up I saw the ball mark and said some things that I can’t type here. We looked in the hole and there she was. Just sitting there…snuggled next to the pin. It was an awesome feeling and I managed to hold it together for the rest of the round.
