I was playing in our Seniors Club Championship and came to our 5th hole, it was my 14th on the day as I'd started on the 10th. The hole is no push over, however that day the pin was in an easier position in terms of getting it closer, but on a slope that would make putting potentially difficult. I was playing OK and had dropped 6 shots to par at that point. I had the honor on the tee and my playing partners were preparing to hit. I hot a perfect 6 iron that looked good in terms of line, it pitched about 3 feet from the hole and rolled gently into the cup, I/we saw it go in and celebrated with the guys on the tee as well as the competitors who were on the 4th hole behind us. The hole in one moved me to up to have me leading my flight by the end of the round going into the second and final round the following day. I ended up getting second best gross in my flight, helped by the hole in one!
