Buddies trip out to Pinehurst and played The Cradle as a warm up for #2. Played once around and carded a level-par 27. We’re going to hit the Thistle Dhu when the starter tells us it’s closed for a private event and we should make another loop.

Of course we do and after making par on the 1st, I hit a beautiful shot up the hill on the 2nd, it takes one big bounce, checks and disappears in the the hole.

We went nuts, shot a 1-under 26, went through the whole ceremony at the starters shack to post the 1,031st hole-in-one at The Cradle since 2017. Made a memorable trip into a once-in-a-lifetime trip with a single stroke that I’ll never forget.
