An odd set of circumstances led to my second hole in one. My buddy and I were scheduled to play our normal course (Gettysburg National in Fairfield, PA) but the morning temps were way too low. I suggested we play later at a course closer to home later in the am to give the temps a chance to warm up. So at Oakmont Green in Hampstead, MD on the second hole with the range finder telling me 141, slightly elevated green, still early in the round, I went with a 7 iron. It's normally my 150yd club but I figured it's still early and I wasn't quite loose yet. I put a nice easy swing on it and a baby draw. The ball landed about 5 feet past the hole, landed soft and spun back in to the hole. My playing partners (randoms we got paired up with) told me it was in. My vision at distance isn't the greatest so I wasn't sure til we got to the green and I confirmed my second Hole In One, first with a Pro V1x !
