Beautiful day in Oro Valley, AZ - sunny and 74 degrees. I wasn't playing great, but had a great chance on Hole 3 for a hole-in-one but it curled around the back of the hole stopping 18 inches away. On Hole 17, it was a 125-yard shot but I had been leaving approach shots short most of the day. So I took a 7-iron and put a nice smooth swing on it and it carried nice and high with a slight fade, bounced twice and rolled into the cup. I was playing with my regular group of guys and it was very special for the three of them to witness the shot. We later toasted my first hole-in-one achievement with a shot of 12-year old Glenlivet Single Malt from a flask I had carried in my bag for many years, just waiting for this moment.
