Sunday, April 3rd was a great day, I was so freaking excited I was with my 14 year old son, Dru Eller, when he got his first Hole In One. I don't know who was smiling more, me or him. We were playing at Cape Girardeau Country Club when we got to hole #8. It's a 138 yard par 3, all up hill and you can't see the bottom of the pin. He hits a 7 iron that is going just right of the pin, we see a bounce and say that could be good. I hit and I think it goes long, other person hits and it is way short. We are driving up the hill and I say "Hey bud you could have gotten a hole in one", his response is "No, No I didn't". So we park and he is first out to the green and goes to the ball on the green, "Dad this is yours". Then he and our other playing partner go straight towards the hole and they both get there at the same time. My son points to the hole, and the other guy says "Dru's ball is in the hole". Then the jumping around, hugs and of course the pictures. To top it off he also shots a new record low round, par (35). I'm still smiling!!!
