I was playing golf with my 10-year-old son during another lockdown at Pacific golf club in Brisbane. We got to the par-3 13th a picturesque hole with water at the front and left a nice open two-tiered sloping green. On this day which happened to be my birthday the hole was set up and was approximately 120 m so I pulled out my Titleist a AP3 pitching wedge steadied myself and swung. I wish I could say I flushed a pure strike that went high and drew back at the hole bouncing once and dropping straight in. Truthfully it was lucky to make it over the water ran around the slope at speed striking the pin dead centre and dropped straight into the hole. Sometimes you just get lucky but the best part was this took place straight in front of my son, we celebrated wildly.
