I've only been playing golf regularly for less than 2 years. My green-in-regulation stats are (still) pretty sad. In the driving range, the computer says my consistency is 0% for some clubs. But hey, lightning can strike! On April 30, 2022 I was playing a 7 am round in an executive course with a friend, his dad and his brother. I bogied hole number one (decent for my standards) and headed to hole number 2. I was the third to hit my tee shot. The flag was clear from the bunker on the left side and there was no slope that hid the hole. I took my PW. It felt like a comfortable, well-hit stroke, but I thought it would be a bit short. "Good line!" said my friend's dad. The ball landed on the green and started rolling towards the flag. "Wow, that looks good!" said my friend. The ball kept rolling. Then it just disappeared. The four of us went crazy. No one could believe it! They all ran and hugged me and I just stood their for half a minute incredulous of what had just happened. This guy, who is still working hard to break a hundred, made his first hole in one!
