I’m a beginner/amateur golfer, and I’ve been playing since early 2020. I normally struggle with my irons and was debating on using my 6 rescue club, but knew I would kill it and over shoot the green. I decided to go with my gut and use the 7 iron for this shot I hit a beautiful clean shot with this club, and it lofted into the air, bounced once I believe, and rolled casually into the hole. My response was definitely delayed at first, but not my husband, who I looked too immediately for confirmation. You would’ve thought he made that shot himself with the way he responded to my achievement. He actually threw his back out. He has been playing since he was a young adult, and he himself has admitted to never achieving a hole-in-one. Honestly….It was complete luck! I believe the odds of that happening is something like 8,000 to 1 chance. I should’ve played the lotto that day.
