Short par 3, 133 yard 9 iron on the third hole at Chester Golf Club, Chester, SC. Carried front bunker landing on the downslope, couldn’t see the first half of the ball running out, but once the ball came into view we watched it roll directly into the cup. I was playing with 10 of my senior golf group friends, luckily most are non drinkers and one of my golfing buddies had a cooler full of post round beer, so total bar tab was $12.50 for three Miller High Life’s, a Coke and a sweet tee. By the way, my first hole in one was as a guest at a private club that didn’t allow non- members to buy drinks. Two hole in ones cost me $12.50, a big break for the old wallet!
