I haven't played since April, most summers I am on the course once or twice a week. So itching to get out and play, I called up my friends and my old boss to catch up and have a fun round. We start our 18 on the back 9 and I am playing some pretty terrible golf. We get to the 16th hole at Stonebridge country club in New Hampshire, and the other three in my group are all surrounding the hole with just amazing shots. I take out my trusty 9 iron, hoping not to embarrass myself any further. and send a worm burning screaming directly at the pin. Its a par three, uphill, and we hear the ball hit the pin. We walk up to the green, and there are all my groups well executed shots and my ball is no where to be found. One of my group looks in the hole and sees my Titleist 2 staring back him. After a few moments of shock (and a little shade from my friends) we realized I just nailed my first hole in one! Perfect day!
