I’ve been playing golf for 13 months but only manage to play for half the year as I work at sea. Since joining Pennard I’ve played in 11 didley competitions as i Learn the dark art of Golf and on my 12th outing I had started the day well finishing the front 9 with 26 points (+4). I started the back 9 a little worse so I stepped up to the long Par 3 (190 yard) hole 13 needing to score. I hit a clean 6 iron which certainly looked to have the distance to clear the large dune just before the green. On our arrival there was no sign of my titlelist on the green or it’s fringes. As I searched the dune/bank, one of the other players asked what ball I was playing? As I turned around he was stood at the flag laughing and with a quick lift of the flag pin, my titleist shot out of the hole.

I couldn’t really focus after such a great achievement at such an early stage of my golf journey and finished the back 9 with 14 points.
