Yesterday, July 17, 2022, I recorded my first ever ace at the Links at Galloway in Memphis, TN using a custom-ordered #17 Pro V1. It came on hole no.7, a tough 122-yard par-3 with an elevated tee box that plays to a peninsula green that juts out into a lake. I've lost many balls in that lake over the years, but not this Sunday! What made this extra special was the serendipitous convergence of 17s: A couple of months ago ago my son told me his lucky number was 17, so I ordered two dozen Pro V1s from Titleist with the #17. My ace (a 1 on the card) came on hole #7, on the 17th of July, with a #17 ball. 17-17-17! Yeah I'd call that lucky number, too!
