It was a hot, beautiful Friday evening for golf. We all had a rough start on the first few holes, and hole #4 was a short par 3 that we were would provide some relief. The pin was tucked just behind a frontside bunker, so P-wedge was the right call from about 135yds. I hit a good one straight at the pin, but it felt a little long. It hit the green about 4-6 feet past the pin, spun back, and dropped. We couldn't believe our eyes, so we all started running and shouting in disbelief. Luckily, my buddy got it all on video as we raced up to the green to confirm what we thought we saw. And sure enough, there it was in the cup, my first hole in one!
