Last summer (2021) during the first round of my club championships. I was competing in the A flight (5-9.9 handicap) and I was having a pretty good round. I was +3 on hole 14, a long par 5. I was just short of the green with my 3rd shot approach to the green and had a nice lie for a chip. I proceeded to chip in for birdie. Next hole is a long par 3 with a two teired green, playing about 190yrds. My buddy who was caddying for me during the round, pulled out a 4 iron and I told him "long is dead" so I went with my 5 iron. I hit the best shot of the day and everything felt perfect through impact, the pin was tucked behind a hill in front of the green so you could not see the bottom of the pin from the Tee. I saw the ball bounce and I thought to myself it just ran off the backside of the green and I will be left with a delicate chip. My caddy, standing on the path told me that he saw the ball dissapear and I did not believe him. We walked up to the green and to my surprise the ball was in fact, in the hole! I celebrated and took a picture and had to calm myself down for the last 3 holes of the round. The adrenaline was so high that I had a putt for birdie on hole 16 that I blew about 20 ft by the hole. (first putt I had hit in about a half hour, having chipped in and then hole in one). Let's just say I was pumped up! I finished the round with a score of 75 and had a great time celebrating at the clubhouse afterwards!
The club used was my Titleist T100 - 5iron and the ball used was a pro v1x.
