I am never a big fan of starting on a par 3, but that changed Wednesday, August 24th. I stepped up to the tee with 8-iron in hand thinking just aim for the flag with a baby fade swing. Since the flag was on the left at 145 yards, I would have plenty of green on the right to work with. I have love the AVX balls since I put them in my bag this year, I hit the ball pure headed for the flag. The shot did not waiver, I thought I hit it too good and possibly in the bunker just beyond the green. I get to the flag and as the others were searching their ball, I of course yelled hole in one, my putter went up in the air and I went to see the bar mark 2 inches from the hole (almost jarred it) and there was my ball in the cup. Needless to say the rest of the round was pretty awesome. Great time, Great Friends and Hole-in-one.. Banner day and the links!!
