  1. I stepped onto the tee, braving 25-35mph winds at my face. Do I club down once? Twice? I decide 2 down should work. I have 2 ponds in front of me and an ocean of white caps to my left. I'm thinking "Is this enough?" while I address the ball. Like I've done for 52 years, since my Father first put a club in my hands, I whisper "low hands, low hands". A nice slow swing, follow up high...I stare at the ball's flight. It's dead straight to the pin and it lands just below it. It passes the cup, which is placed at the base of a downward hill, and stops about 4' after it. Then the magic happens. The 2 women I was playing with said "hey...it's coming back!". With each rotation back, our excitement was mounting. "Oh, my God", "Oh, my God"....back and forth until......the ball disappears...into the cup. After screaming like little school girls for 5 minutes, we, briskly, walk to the 9th. Our club pro & assistant, with cameras in hand, document my first hole in one.

No way! Thought that view looked familiar. Lived in RI from 75-95. Was just there last weekend visiting family. Said to myself that the view looked just like Narragansett Bay. Never played there though. Congrats again on the hole in one.

Love the view. That is one beautiful hole. We are never too old to being out that inner child. Congratulations on a great accomplishment. Hope you signed up for that neat Titleist pewter bag tag, acknowledging you great achievement. Awesome conversation piece and badge of honor. Playing along the coast requires a little bit of creativity. Do it three times a week in Charleston, SC. Those winds do make it very interesting. When the off shore winds blow, tee it low and swing slow. Cheers! =)
