I was on the 17th hole at the Eisenhower Golf Course (Blue Course) located at the United States Air Force Academy. I used a 5-iron for a 180-yard approach with the pin in the front. I saw that the ball was tracking very well to the hole; however, I did not see it on the green. Because I didn't see it on the green, I thought I had hit the shot short. As I walked to the green, I didn't see my ball short, but I did see a nice ball mark about three feet from the pin. Walking on the green, I discovered my Titleist Pro V1X nestled nicely in the hole. My first hole-in-one after more than 40 years of playing golf. Of course, I was ecstatic to join this elite group. Hope I don't have to wait another 40 years for another one.
