  1. I’m a 64 year old woman living in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and I’ve been golfing on and off since I was a teenager. On Monday, September 5 my husband, brother and a friend went to Alderdale Greens to do 9 holes. I was hitting the ball really well but unfortunately I had two bad holes. However when I hit my tee shot on the #8 par 3 I knew it looked good and was most likely on the green. I was also using a Titleist ball, which I try to use as often as possible. As we headed up the fairway I was trying to see where my ball was. A man coming up #7 called over and told me “the ball went in”. It took a few seconds for it to register. I was shocked. It was quite exciting!! I was using a 26 degree hybrid not a 9 iron like I used to use but a hole in one is a hole in one no matter what club you use. I’ve been golfing with women and men since I was a teenager and no one ever got a hole in one. I e never seen it. I’m glad I was using the Titleist ball as they are my favorite. Thanks for letting me tell my story

Great story to share and welcome to the forum. I still haven't experienced a HIO for myself; I've seen 3 go in over the years and even as the one who didn't make the HIO, it's still fun to see something like that happen.

I've had 2 long hole outs (over 200 yds), so I'm getting closer to that HIO!

I simply love stories like this on our forum. Congratulations and hope that you find another one going in the hole.
They never are planned, as you know, but out of nowhere it happens and bring a lot of joy. Had my fourth at the age of 75 in January of this year on our renovated municipal course. You got a head start on me in playing golf. Late beginning. Took it up in 1984 when I moved to the Carolina's. Love your part of the country. Played golf at Cabot Links and the famous Cabot Cliffs in the fall, prior to it's official opening to public a number of years ago. What a beautiful area, great food and friendly people. Love those Canadian sunsets, along with a good local beer. Have recommended to everyone about coming up to Nova Scotia. Welcome to Team Titleist. =)
