  1. I had just gotten home from my honey moon and was going to a good friends wedding. He asked me the morning of if I wanted to go out golfing with him and his bachelor party. I was jetlagged, the time difference was messing with me, I didn’t have my clubs at the hotel, and I haven’t played in a month because I broke my finger but I couldn't resist. I planned on renting but he said no problem we have a set for you. At the first tee i found out I could swing normally with my broken finger hanging off the club. Also the clubs I was using were T200 irons with KBS tour shafts, i knew it was going to be a good day.

On the second hole someone in my group put one 2” from the pin and I stated “I am convinced I’ll never get a hole in one because I’ve been close so many times but never had one fall, I’ve lipped out twice in one round had the ball stop over the hole and been close countless times.”

Two holes later I pull out a pitching wedge on a short Par 4 appx 125 uphill into the wind. I took a nice easy 3/4 swing and knew off the club it was too long.

All we could see from the tee is the ball hit the fringe behind the hole, spin back onto the green and assume that it was going to be close because it was tracking at the pin. The groom said he was convinced it went in the hole, I was in disbelief because of my statement from earlier.

He made me go ahead of him to get to the hole, and we didn’t see a ball on the green. I still in disbelief said “it probably spun back off the green”. Sure enough we walked up and it was in the hole. Was a great first hole in one on a great day. Can’t wait for the next.
