It was a beautiful early morning, September round of golf with my brother, Tom, and hometown golf league members, Alex and Dan. I had just closed out my playoff match play match against my opponent and stepped up to #16 on Mercer Oaks East Golf Course in West Windsor, NJ. The rangefinder displayed 136 yards (which included elevation) so I hit a cut 8-iron to a white/middle flagstick location. When it was in the air, I was yelling for it to "get down" and my playing partners were saying "get in!" It hit just next to the hole, took one hop, spun backward, and disappeared into the cup. The rest was history as we celebrated like little kids jumping up and down into one another and high-fiving.
