A beautiful day on the links

  1. The third hole at the Sandy Point Golf Course in Ferndale, Washington has always been my nemesis. It's the shortest PAR 3 on the course at 75 yards and it is at a distance where I have to play it perfectly to land on the green. I'm typically really short or blast it over the green. Today was different! It was a beautiful day in the Pacific Northwest and my wife and I decided to play 18 holes after we dropped off the kids at school. I started the day with a bogey and double-bogey in our match-play contest. Then on the third hole, my wife - already up two in our match - landed right on the green. She smiled at me and took a seat on the bench next to the tee-box. I addressed the ball, did my pre-shot waggle, and hit it square with my 60 degree Titleist 60.07 wedge. I said aloud, "that's going to be good" and watched it land three feet from the cup, take one bounce and roll right into the promised land! We ended up all square at the end of the round. We are loving golf (right now) - and I absolutely love my Titleist wedges!
