On Sunday, October 2, 2022, my buddies and I went off as the first tee time of the day, as we do most Sundays. I started par-par, and then got to the 3rd hole, a very difficult 200-yard par-3, that most days I'm simply thrilled to hit the green. On this day, in front of the 3 guys that represent my regular 4-some, I hit a nice draw with my 4-hybrid, saw it land on the green, and start tracking to the hole. As I hit last in my group on that hole, two of my friends had already hit the gas in their golf carts to start towards the green. They saw the ball tracking, threw up their arms, and shouted "It went in". Being 200 yards away, I knew it had a chance, but couldn't for sure see it go in, and didn't know until I walked up and saw it in the hole! It was my 2nd ever hole-in-one, but my first since a Palm Beach County Golf Association tournament in 2009 at PGA National.
