I played the hole the day before and tried to start the ball at the right side of the green and draw it to the middle but it went dead straight. So, I decided to go at the pin on this day. The ball landed about 20 feet short of the flag and I remember saying "Now Release". Release it did...it rolled right at the hole and disappeared. My playing partner said "YOU JUST GOT A HOLE IN ONE!", but I couldn't believe it. Once I got to the green and saw the ball at the bottom of the cup I was relieved. It was real!! I'd gotten my first HOLE IN ONE!!
