I’ve own clubs for about 8 years, but truly started playing this summer. On a beautiful November day, playing a quick 9 holes at the Duke University Golf Club, I head to hole 8, 123yd par 3. Earlier in the round I had one of my best shots ever. A nice chip from the rough into the hole to save par. I never have gotten a birdie or better in my life, so this was out of the blue. I guess they all are really. Overall, my shots were below my average. So I take my shot with the 7i. This hole is elevated with the pin located front left of the green. My shot felt different, it had gone aerial left of the green but nice fade that hit the front left lip of the green. It was all spin after that, a left to right trail into the cup. Didn’t bother playing 9, just ended the day with it. Why bother right?
