I woke up at 5:30 in the morning to go to my golf job to open the pro shop and work till 12:30. I got a text from my friend at around 8:30AM asking me if I wanted to play a quick 9 when he got off. I said yes and as soon as I got off the clock, rushed home to grab my bag, and raced to the course. Got up to the tee box and just put it in the fairway. I was playing fairly conservative golf considering wind speeds were over 15mph and it’s freezing cold. Got up to the first par 3. Tee’s it up, planned my shot shape for the headwind, and put a good swing through on it. Turns out, the two guys playing ahead of us were watching by the green and I didn’t notice that they were off to the side. My friend looks at my shot at its apex and says, “That’s in the hole.” I laughed and said “No, it’s good though.” Next thing I knew, the guys in the group ahead of us threw their hands up in the air with excitement as they witnessed a hole in one. We get in the cart, drive up, and I started recording. Turns out, it hit the green, took one bounce, and hopped into the cup. Truly an amazing experience considering I started playing in November of 2021.
