Last in the group to tee off, I pulled a 7 iron from the tee. A blue flag was set at the back of green on the top level. It was going to take a full shot, hit crisply in the cold morning air to reach the top level of this slightly elevated green. After contact, I knew I hit it as well as I could. Watching as the ball flew high through the air, a subtle right to left draw tracked the pin and landed on the top shelf a few yards from the pin. As it slowly tracked toward the the hole it suddenly disappeared. Did it go in? Or did it roll off the back just out of sight? Everyone stayed quiet, not wanting to jinx it. We weren’t sure until we made our way onto the green to find there was no ball in sight. We began to celebrate as I ran to the hole to find my Titleist Pro V1x in the bottom of the cup! It was my first Hole-in-One!
