May 15, 2024. Ive been playing golf for more than 60 years. I've had six eagles on par fours and have had at least five shots inside of three inches over the past few years that somehow didn't drop. Finally, playing in my normal Wednesday group - a fivesome which is allowed at our course, I hit a beautiful six iron into a slight breeze that was on a line to a pin in the middle of the green that slopes from back to front and a little right to left. Hole was 129 yards. and is uphill five yards or so. Third hole at Johnson Park in Racine Wisconsin. I don't see well enough to see them land but one of my buddies thought i Would be about six or eight feet short. Ball mark was 12 feet below the hole. Ball, a Yellow Pro VI number 2 was in the hole.
