  1. July 4 of 2025 commemorates my first hole in one on a par 72 of my 11 year golf career. Never would I imagine the day I would make a hole in one would be on a major holiday on an early morning round. I was 2 over par when I reached the 17th hole at Sepulveda Encino Golf Course, playing from the tips the par 3 17th was playing at 201, I normally club up when I play early morning rounds and I made up my mind to hit a smooth choked down 4 iron with a little fade. If you are familiar or have ever played in Los Angeles, our city courses are laid out with double bunkers on 90 percent of our par 3's. With that being said there are two little humps on each side of the green that pushes the ball up towards the center of green. Majority of the regulars including myself normally try to hit those humps and hope for a forward push to get closer to the center of the green. On this day boy did I get that forward push, a push right into the hole. I hit the left hump of that fringe and that roll into the hole seemed like it took a minute before the ball dropped into the flag. I threw my 4 iron into the air as I screamed from the top of my lungs like nature boy Ric Flair "Wooooo". I played with my co worker Robert and 2 others who we have met at the first tee, all in shock stating this was the first hole in one that they have witnessed. I myself said the same thing.
