It was League night with the fellas and I hit a little 6i on #7 at Ipswich CC to a 165 blue pin, light rain conditions. I hit it solid but a bit left, it bounced almost pin high off hill toward green, I lost site of it for an and went to pick up tee assuming I’d be on the green. My playing partners started yelling and carrying on…”dude it went in the hole!”, I said no f#$%& way, they all said way! My reaction was a little melodramatic as I didn't see it go in. He handed me his range finder and told me to look, it’s not on the green, then my heart started pumping. We made our way to the green and sure enough my ProV1 was in there! With my adrenaline fully flowing, we went to the next tee and teed off, yes, I used the same ball stupidly…caught up in the emotions for sure. My partner said what the heck are you doing, put that ball away, so I did….What a thrill!
