This was the best day of my golfing career. I fluctuate from mid to high handicap over the last 10 years in my current league at Fox Hills - the Golden Fox - Plymouth Michigan. Hole 3 in my league tonight was playing 122. Temp was low 80s and weather was sunny although the visibility and air quality were very low due to the Canadian wild fires. The gentlemen I was playing is one of the best golfers in our league, and he dropped his ball off the tee within 3 feet of the hole. I went third off the tee and flushed a pitching wedge perfectly. It was difficult to gauge where the ball landed exactly but from the tee box it looked like it was really close to the hole right in line with the flagstick. I drove up in the golf cart with my golf partner and noticed only the first ball on the green but my ball was no where to be seen. I slowly walked up to the flag and looked around to see if my ball was anywhere near the green. Complete shock set in when I walked up to the flagstick and saw my titlleist AVX in the bottom up the cup. I’m 51 years old, and golf regularly in league and for recreation. This is my first hole in one. I was shaking afterwards. I managed to keep the momentum and shot a 39 for the 9 holes of league play. This was the best round I’ve ever had in league play at this course. The Titleist AVX is my go to ball. I couldn’t have done this without the AVX. It’s soft and flies low abs spins great when I need it! This was my most memorable and favorite golf day in my life! I’m humbled but energized to go out and do it again! Thank you, Team Titleiest!
