I was playing in a scramble with my friends/business partners in a fundraiser golf outing at Oakland University. We started on hole #1 and approached the 3rd hole which is a par 3 and playing 170yds that day with a slight wind in. I hit third and the two players that hit before me missed the green. I was only focused on getting the ball onto the green to give us a birdie putt. At no point was I thinking of knocking it in, just wanted to put a good swing on it. Once I looked up after swinging, I saw the ball on a straight line at the pin. The ball didn't cut or draw, just dead straight at the pin. There's a bunker in front of the green which blocks the view of the cup so we did not see it go in. We looked through the scope to see if a ball was on the green but couldn't see anything, so, I thought it went long. When we got to the green there was no ball on the green or long. I noticed my ball mark a few feet in front of the pin and quickly looked in the cup to find my ball at the bottom!
