I'm just shy of my 66th birthday and made my first hole in one at my home course (Wildflower Country Club in Temple Texas) on Sunday September 14, 2025. I was using a Yellow Titleist TrueFeel ball on the par 3 #16. The pin location was on the front portion of the green at 172 yards and I chose to hit my 5 iron. The ball landed just on the front edge of the green and slowly rolled in the direction of the hole and dropped in the front edge. It was witnessed by 3 of my buddies I was playing with that day. I truly figured as long as I have played golf that it probably was never going to happen, but I guess never say never.
