Joined my best friend for a late Friday afternoon round after a busy work week. I recently added a GT280 mini driver to the bag and absolutely love this club!! I have a solid round going for the day, hole 14 is a 280-yard par 4 all up hill, naturally mini driver is for the weapon of choice. You can see the flag stick, but the green is so elevated you cannot see the surface. I am 2nd to hit and I absolutely rope one with a little baby draw right online with the flag stick, like I said unfortunately you can't see the dance surface, you just really hope for a great run out and solid chance at an eagle putt. We got to my partner’s ball first and he hit a solid wedge shot into the green but being blind to the green we aren't sure if it was the right distance or long, as we approached the green, we only see 1 ball on the surface. I first congratulated him on a fantastic blind approach shot, and then quickly realized it potentially could be my drive, and he did in fact go long of the green. We both walk onto the surface with clubs in hand and he quickly identifies that is his ball, I'm a bit miffed, my ball was right online, this green is protected by traps left front and right front, so I start to suspect I got a unlucky bounce and I am in the traps, I first check the left trap... nope nothing... as I'm walking to check the right sand trap I walk by the pin to take a glance and......... there it is!!!! Titleist #2 pro v1 left dot with my signature 3 dot marks!! I think I might have fainted or blacked out, I just remember laying on the ground in total shock! I'm 41 years old, have been playing golf for 35 years now, I really thought this day was never going to come for me, let alone happen on a par 4! Ironically, we were cutting up earlier in the round and I compared myself to Bryson and that an ace was never going to happen for me. Thank you Titleist, for the best balls, the best clubs, and for getting to share with me my first ace and double eagle!
