May 2, 2026 we had one of those golf moments our family will never forget.

My 11-year-old son Luke made his first hole-in-one on Hole 11 at Hopkinton Country Club in Hopkinton, MA. 127 yards. Hybrid in hand. Playing a Titleist Tour Soft #1.

The shot landed on the fringe just above and left of the pin, bounced onto the green, and then started tracking toward the hole. And rolling. And rolling. And rolling.

For a second, we honestly thought it must have stopped behind the flagstick because we couldn’t see it anymore.

So we both sprinted up the fairway… and there it was sitting in the bottom of the cup.

I picked Luke up and tossed him in the air like he was 3 years old again.

Golf is a gift that creates unique bonds among family and friends and every once in a while it gives you something you’ll remember forever. Saturday was one of those days. Congratulations, Luke!
