I've been playing golf for over 30 years now, so I kindof felt this could happen at some point. On march 22nd, 2026, playing the Copa Universales (fantastic tournament and organization by the way!) at the Mayan Golf Club in Guatemala. We had a bit of a wait to tee off on the 2nd hole, playing short from the lower tees, water in front and hitting into a small green with the pin tucked far to the right. We finally got to tee off, Louis shot first, his ball just missed the green to the right, not a bad position. Then Martin hit a beautiful shot that just flew passed the pin to about 7 feet, the pressure was on. I heard one of the caddies mention that the pin was playing 146 yds, so I took my PW, put it back in my stance and took aim (I play a draw, so aiming at the pin was going for the middle of the green in my eyes). I took my swing, hit down on the ball and it took flight, right at the pin...two bounces and straight into the hole!!! Things got a bit crazy, the tournament had a prize for the Hole in One on that hole (so it was actually filmed). My heart was racing, I felt like I was going to faint, and then the news came. Not only was it a Hole in One, I won not 1 car, but 2 cars for the prize. So I ended up walking out with 2 Audi Q5's. How about that. Must I add, I was having a terrible day on the course.
