I recently played a scramble at TPC Southwind in Memphis. We started on hole nine and it was raining by hole ten. We walked up to the par three eleventh to get a yardage. It was playing 145. The grandstands for the FedEx St. Jude Classic were being built so there was a group of workers near the green. I hit my nine iron just a. little thin but on a good line. It hit about 5 feet short and rolled in! We all cheered once we realized it had gone in, and I got the nod from some of the workers. I think hitting it slightly on the thin side took off the spin that would have made it stop a few feet short. I won closest to the hole :) The head pro gave me a TPC Southwind flag. To make it even better we won our flight in the scramble too!
