My family has had a lake house in saugatuck since long before I was born. Been in the fam over a century. We get to play Clearbrook when we get up there for the summer occasionally. I had only played this course once before this instance. My little brother Sam and I went out one morning in the summer of 2023 just before the 4th of July to get a morning round in. We had just gone out for 9 holes but the first par 3 is the 7th hole. We had played an ok round but something magic was in the air pulling up to that first par 3 of the day. Sammy hit his tee shot just left of the bunker and I was busy grabbing a brand new ProV1 from the dozen my mom had bought that year for the bday. I looked at him dead in the eyes and said “hole-in-one at the lake would be crazy”. Proceeded to throw the brand new ball down no tee and one hop it into the hole. Sam took off before it landed said he knew it was in. I got tackled on the green when I caught up to him already staring at my ball in the hole. Cheers from surrounding greens and tee boxes. It will forever be one of the greatest experiences in my entire life :)
