I was on a golf trip to Pinehurst and I was playing my fourth round over two days. My buddies and I were having a blast playing a two-man scramble that afternoon and while I had been hitting my drive well, my wedges had been a struggle. I got up to the 87 yard par 3 on hole number eight, and after pushing the last few iron shots, I was focused on getting through the ball. I had a great shot in and it landed about 3 feet from the pin bounced twice and dropped in the cup! It was awesome and that tee box is right at the green from hole 7 and tee box for hole 9 so all three groups around us were yelling and cheering. I still can’t believe it! I went to the pro shop and asked to buy everything that had the number 3 logo on it. They made me an awesome bag tag and engraved it with the information from the shot. What a way to finish up an epic trip!
I was thinking about upgrading my wedges (they’re about 20 years old now), but after that shot I don’t think I can let go of that one!
