I teed up a Titleist 1 ProV1 on the 3rd hole at Burlingame Country Club in Hillsborough, California on the morning of June 4. My group scoped the flag at about 175 yards with the green slightly elevated, a front pin, a domed green falling off at the front and the back playing very fast, and a slight breeze in our faces. A perfect blue sky morning. I hit a punchy 3 hybrid that normally rolls out to the 175-185 yard range for me. The ball drew towards the flag, landed in the upslope in front of the green then took a couple bounces before it reached the green. I lost sight of the ball at that point. The others in my foursome weren't 100% sure the ball went in either. From the tee box, none of us seemed to see the ball go in but we couldn't see a ball anywhere on the green. None of us could see that far on a bright sunny day! I thought the ball might have settled behind the flag or even rolled off the back of the green. As we got closer to the green it was clear my ball was not on the green. Sure enough the ball was at the bottom of the hole - my first ace.
